Just ask anyone in the 50s
Or my car, which has 0 airbags and steering wheel controls that would be stenciled onto your sternum if you crashed

Don't forget the pre-collapsible steering columns that would spear you through the head in a crash.

My car has 2. So fancy. So safe.
Except if it flips. Those pillars are tiny.

I love my floating A-pillars. That’s probably my favorite styling trend of the 90s. Even though they provide the rollover protection of a cardboard box.

Floating a pillar? Don't think I'm familiar with that one.

Where they paint the A-pillar black, basically. I think it looks really cool.
It was also a bright spot in the masochistic bucket of misery that was the F50.

Mine are body color. But also very thin. And they didn't test rollover in the 90s.
